How to deal with stress

Stress has become an inseparable part of today’s life. Irrespective of age, profession or designation, no one can escape it. Stress can cause anxiety, frustration, and disinterest in work and daily activities. Tackling stress is a lot easier once you find  stress busters and coping mechanisms.

Drinking, smoking, and binge eating aren’t the healthiest methods to relieve stress. Finding time to do healthy activities is equally taxing. Here are some simple, free of cost methods to bust all that stress.

  1. Watch your favourite comedy show– There is an array of British and American TV shows at your disposal on numerous websites today. Instead of going out for a pint, try watching some slap-stick comedy. You can have the same kind of fun in the comfort of your own room, which you can have in a crowded bar.
  2. Meditate – Meditation can help reduce your frustration and anger, especially if you’re having trouble at your workplace. You will stay calmer and you will be able to rethink your professional decisions. It’s a way to develop patience and concentration.
  3. Sleep – Lack of sleep can only add to your stress and decrease your metabolism. Whenever you experience high level of stress, make sure you receive enough sleep at your earliest convenience. Your body needs to rest in order to dissipate the stress.
  4. Spend time with children–  If any of your relatives have children, spending time with them is an excellent stress buster. Children are always proactive, and watching them will distract you. As children involve those around them in their daily activities, you will automatically be a part of their carefree life.
